Engineer Civil Master Henry King was born at Kings Stanley, son of Peter King, corn merchant and flour miller. When young he worked for James Apperley & Co for 2 years. Subsequently he was employed by Brassey, Wythes & Co of Glasgow where he inspected pipes for the Calcutta Water Supply. He also took out patents to do with steam engines. In 1874 Henry was in America. | ||
