Alice was mentioned in her father's will in 1729, at which time she was unmarried. In her father's will she was left one feather bed on which she usually slept and all the furnishings belonging to it, and the sum of five shillings. Her mother in her will, 1734/5, bequeathed to daughter Alice wife of Robert Backmore the sum of forty shillings … and all my wearing cloths & linnen & all the sd funds & legacies to be paid within the space of twelve months next after my decease |
