Of Leamington Spa, Warks. The young couple met in England during the years when Lieutenant Danne was attached to Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten's naval company, with which he served in Sicily, Normandy, and Malaya. Miss Pemberton, who is the daughter of an architect, has done the BSc course, and during the war was teaching in England. Much loved wife of Geoffrey (dec) and mother of Susan, Peter, Jane (dec) and Josephine and mother-law of Linda. Cherished Gran to Zoe, Nicholas and Tania, Alexander and Karyn, Richard, Lydia, Sarah, Julia, Surya and David. Great-Gran of Yami, Charlie, Matthew and Max. Greatly esteemed teacher, artist and nature lover. A wonderful companion to many. Rest in peace. Obituary 2: Mrs Danne was initially employed by Fintona Girls School in 1960 as a Senior Science Teacher and went on to become Chief of Staff in 1972. On her retirement she became a Board member till 1987. She is very fondly remembered by her many former students and colleagues as a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative educator who made a significant impact on the lives of her students. |
