Various newspapers report insolvency proceedings against Charles Wesley Lane, soap manufacturuer of Orange. Liabilities £1901/9/11, assets £80. Mr. Charles Wesley Lane, who died on June 23 at his late residence at Belmore, was the sixth son of Mr. Wm. Lane, of Orton Park, near Bathurst. He carried on grazing pursuits for a number of years, afterwards going to Orange, where he was In business for 40 years. He was a well-known identity in the west. The funeral took place on Monday afternoon, the remains being interred in the Moorfields Cemetery [Canterbury, NSW]. | ||
